You might need progress images and walkthrough videos to help them see behind the temporary fencing and hoardings - this will hugely reduce the need for so many time consuming site visits and the boxes full of PPE they’ll need to borrow…

I self funded and passed the course (with full marks!) and now hold the CITB Site Safety Plus, Health and Safety Awareness for the Construction and Civil Engineering Industries Certificate. Course ref MT603, completion 21.08.2019, Certificate expires 31.08.2024 - as the CSCS card is no longer provided to site visitors, and there is no category for photographers/videographers. I was therefore recommended by an HSE Advisor to complete the above CITB course to ensure I could safely attend sites without a chaperone where appropriate.
I have twenty years as a self employed photographer and running my own business, I have worked extremely hard to gain, and keep, my excellent reputation for providing great images and a superior service. I have several high profile regular clients including The Environment Agency, Balfour Beatty, FedEx and Leeds City Council. As a Sole Trader, I have invested in the above Health and Safety Qualification, and spent a lot of time on site - so fully understand the practicalities of being on site.
My Health and Safety obligations are both to myself and others. I will abide by all on site Health and Safety protocols, including wearing my own PPE. Additionally, I will make a point of only going where previously agreed, not touching/standing on anything (sharps, wet paint/plaster/cement, tools, equipment etc), and being very aware of my surroundings at all times (plant and materials are often being moved), whilst ensuring other people in the vicinity are aware of my location too.
